We work with seminar developers and community colleges who realize that traditional classroom-type instruction isn't working very well, especially for many kinds of objectives and for learners who haven't had much previous success in school. The website was created to assist those organizations to:

•  transform conventional seminars and classrooms into a kind of
   virtual apprenticeship,where the emphasis is on participation,
   not lectures or presentations;
•  broaden the market for their present seminars
•  explain to others why developing a competency has to be
   approached differently than transmitting information.

We've also created it to support our consulting work with higher education and corporate clients, and to serve as an orientation site for participants of wired seminars sponsored by those clients.
